Our native seed cleaning efforts are really kicking into high gear. We have a backlog of seeds to prep for winter and spring sowing. Seed cleaning is a fun way to get an intimate look at the quiet but fascinating life cycle of our native plants while directly supporting our Stewardship staff, and an excellent chance to get to know your fellow volunteers better.

Volunteer Workday @ Beverly Shores

The Great Marsh is an ecologically unique habitat that helps filter surface water as it travels on its journey to eventually drain into Lake Michigan. The marsh at Beverly Shores is a gorgeous area with plenty of incredible sedges, wildflowers, and waterfowl to admire! Be a significant part of the restoration efforts of Shirley Heinze Land Trust by collecting seeds from native plants at our Beverly Shores Project Area.
