Seed Cleaning Social Indoor Volunteer Event On Monday December 12th we will be having a Seed Cleaning Social from 9pm-12pm. Volunteers will be INDOORS with our staff as we clean native seeds that will be distributed at a Shirley Heinze Preserve! As you can imagine, native plants are vital to the health and long-term viability of an ecosystem. Interested in becoming an Adopt-A-Trail Steward? Today, more than 3,000 acres across Lake, Porter, LaPorte, St. Joseph, and Marshall counties are permanently protected, and most of our nature preserves are open to the public to explore and enjoy. Shirley Heinze has acquired 17 conservation areas in Northwest Indiana that need your help to preserve and protect these beautiful habitats of Northwestern Indiana.
