We Are Water Protectors: StoryWalk at Ivanhoe South
April 18, 2021 - May 9, 2021

To celebrate Earth Day, Shirley Heinze Land Trust and the Gary Public Library are partnering to exhibit a storywalk along the trail at Ivanhoe South Nature Preserve from April 18 – May 9. This free outdoor pop-up exhibit is open to visit anytime dawn to dusk.
As you walk down the trail in this globally rare dune-and-swale habitat, read this inspiring story, and then take the Earth Steward and Water Protector pledge at the end of the story.

Water is the first medicine.
It affects and connects us all . . .

When a black snake threatens to destroy the Earth

Takes a stand to defend Earth’s most sacred resource.
