Volunteer Workday @ Meadowbrook

Our native seed collection finished for the year, we now have a backlog of seeds to prep for winter, and spring sowing. We still have some native seed to be cleaned for Cressmoor Prairie and a quantity from Meadowbrook, to be sown at the rear of the preserve and also to bolster this year’s Grow One Keep One program, which will be resuming soon. We’ve got plenty to do, and we need your help!

Seed cleaning is a fun way to get an intimate look at the quiet but fascinating life cycle of our native plants while directly supporting our Stewardship staff, and an excellent chance to get to know your fellow volunteers better.

Since we’ll be working inside, no winter clothing is needed, other than what you’ll arrive in. We’ll provide any necessary tools or gear, light snacks, and water. As always, we encourage you to bring your own reusable water bottle!
