Volunteer Workday @ Bourbon Woods

We plan to open Bourbon Woods to the public in the not-too-distant future. As we continue to prepare the property for public enjoyment, come out and help us manage invasive plants, like wintercreeper, and maintain the recently-cut trail. It’ll be another fun workday in the old-growth forest!

Nature Highlights: Old growth forest, large beeches and other native trees, fungi like Pheasant’s Back and Orange Mycena, and a wide variety of woodland birds, including five species of woodpecker.

What to Bring: Long pants and boots or sturdy shoes are recommended. We encourage you to bring your own water bottle as there is no potable water at this location.

Length: 4 hours

Weather Policy: Rain or shine. Event will be cancelled in inclement weather. No rain date.
