Volunteer – Wildflower Seedling Planting
November 5, 2021 @ 11:00 am CDT

Although native wildflowers are incredibly hearty, we’ve had a first frost and our seedlings need to get planted before the ground freezes. We have a dozen flats, and we need your help! We will be working in one of the restoration project areas at Meadowbrook Nature Preserve to improve the biodiversity and restore prairie plants.
Join Preserve Steward Michael Foos and Volunteer Coordinator Christine Maloney as they get the seedlings in. The weather is supposed to be sunny, clear, and warm, so let’s enjoy one last gardening day together!
We will provide all the necessary equipment and gear, as well as granola bars and water, although we encourage you to bring your own reusable water bottle. Feel free to stay for as little or long as you’re able.
So that we can best plan for the event, please RSVP by calling the office at 219-242-8558 or emailing Christine at cmaloney@heinzetrust.org. For information about last minute cancellations, please check Facebook.
