September 16 @ 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Free

Beverly Shores Great Marsh Seed CollectionWith Shirley Heinze conservation efforts here is the cardinal flower at Beverly Shores Project Area

Calling on volunteers to grab a bucket and collect seeds from several plant types at Beverly Shores! By collecting seeds, we can continue our restoration efforts that creates a corridor of habitats for our native pollinators. This is also great opportunity to spend a few hours soaking up Vitamin D (nature’s medicine).

Drop-in on Friday, September 16th between 9am-noon. During this time, you’ll get to experience The Great Marsh’s unique wetland habitat that helps purify water before it enters Lake Michigan.

We will meet at the intersection of Beverly Drive and Wells RoadParking will be available on the south side of Beverly Drive.
Please feel free to stay as little or long as you’d like! We will provide all the necessary equipment, water, and snacks during this time!

It is required to dress appropriately due to wet terrain with tall grass:
  • Protective waterproof knee-high boots or high-top hiking boots
  • Long pants & Long sleeves
  • Hat

Please RSVP Below! There is a max of 10 volunteers.

Not sure what to expect? Check out our last seed collecting event at the Great Marsh: Rattlesnake Manna Grass Seed Collecting
