Volunteer! Great Rattlesnake (Manna Grass) Roundup
August 12, 2022 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm CDT
Free
The Great Marsh is a unique wetland habitat that helps purify water before it enters Lake Michigan, assisted in part by the specialized plants of the marsh. As part of our continuing restoration efforts to create a corridor of habitats for our native pollinators, we need your help in collecting seeds of Rattlesnake Manna Grass! This season the marsh has blessed us with a bumper crop of this easy-to-collect seed, and staff would like to harvest as much of it as possible.
