Volunteer – Black Friday Seed Sowing at the Great Marsh
November 26 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Give the gift of a Green Earth this Black Friday!
Skip the crowds, reconnect with nature, and make a difference by sowing native wildflower seeds at the Great Marsh as we continue re-greening and restoring the wetlands in this unique and beautiful habitat. Come out and help our Stewardship Staff while chatting with them about the flora, fauna, and exciting future of the marsh!
We will provide all the necessary equipment and gear, as well as granola bars and water, although we encourage you to bring your own reusable water bottle. Feel free to stay for as little or long as you’re able.
This event is weather dependent and may be canceled if Mother Nature doesn’t cooperate. Please dress appropriately for the weather and wear protective waterproof or high top hiking boots.
So that we can best plan for the event, please RSVP by calling the office at 219-242-8558 or emailing Volunteer Coordinator Christine Maloney at firstname.lastname@example.org. For information about last minute cancellations, please check Facebook.
PLEASE NOTE THIS EVENT IS 1:00pm – 4:00pm CENTRAL TIME!
