Birding the Shirley Heinze Nature Preserves in Lake County
May 18 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pmFree
Shirley Heinze Land Trust’s nature preserves in Lake County, Indiana offer a wide diversity of bird species and habitat, from dune and swale to oak woodland and from bald eagles to tiny ruby-throated hummingbirds.
Join Matt Kalwasinski as he shares with us his birding experience in this area, suggesting where and when these preserves offer the best opportunities to find the most interesting birds and sharing his personal experiences in many years birding in this region. Matt birds extensively in Northwest Indiana and has led many birding trips for the Shirley Heinze Land Trust, Indiana Audubon Society and others.
