The Sounds and Sights of Insects by Night

Look for nighttime insects like moths, lightning bugs, and cicadas with local insect enthusiast Chris Joll and Shirley Heinze Land Trust staff. You’ll get an up-close look at moths and other nighttime critters, discover why they are crucial to healthy ecosystems, and how to protect them and their habitats. Grab a headlamp or flashlight and meet at the pavilion at Meadowbrook Nature Preserve for a special nighttime program!

P.S. Each visitor will receive a free cicada sticker, as a continuation of “Cicadapalooza.”

This event will be held at Meadowbrook Nature Preserve, which has an accessible parking lot and pavilion.
