The Same Road Taken Twice (or Thrice or More): Ecological Joys in Revisiting Nature Preserves
When traveling great distances, we often do not take the same road twice, but there are many attractions to retake the same road many times to our local nature preserves.
Led by Dr. Spencer Cortwright from Indiana University Northwest, this presentation notes many reasons to revisit nature preserves (exercise, spiritual uplift, camaraderie, restoration work, etc.) and emphasizes one in particular: detecting ecological processes at work. We will virtually walk through select preserves and identify important ecological insights that can be learned from repeat visits!
