Tales & Trails @ Meadowbrook

You have definitely heard of a dog and cat, but have you heard of the dogfish or the catfish? Come to Meadowbrook Nature Preserve for a cozy story time and nature adventure as we read You Stole My Name by Dennis McGregor. After the story, we’ll discover how animals and plants in nature get their names and what makes each one unique, then create our own nature-inspired name art to celebrate the world around us.

Please come prepared to be outdoors for the entire program. A jacket, boots, and a water bottle are recommended.

Tales & Trails invites children and their caregivers to gather for a short story that sparks curiosity, followed by an exploration of one of our beautiful conservation destinations. Expect to hear a tale and hike a trail while discovering the natural wonders around you together. 

This is a 1.5-hour program designed for children ages 3-5. Younger siblings are welcome to join.

Weather Policy: Rain or shine. Event will be cancelled in inclement weather with no rain date.

Amenities: Accessible outdoor restrooms and parking will be available. No potable water.
