Spring Ephemeral Hike @ Lydick Bog

Spring into ephemerals at Lydick Bog Nature Preserve. The combination of wetlands and forest provide a diverse landscape of these short-lived yet beautiful blooms.

Spring ephemerals are important in providing food for the first pollinators that emerge from winter, in addition to being a sure sign that spring is on its way!

This route is about 1 mile and includes raised, accessible boardwalks and dirt and gravel trails with moderate inclines. The preserve features accessible parking and a covered pavilion. Pets welcome on a leash! 🐕🐕‍🦺

Please wear sturdy shoes and pack your own water and snacks (potable water is not available at the preserve and restrooms will be closed for the season).
