New Year’s Day Hike @ Lydick Bog

Start off 2023 right by hiking with Shirley Heinze Land Trust! Local ecologist Steve Sass will lead you through the winter wonderland of Lydick Bog. Winter is a beautiful time of year to explore the bog: fallen leaves and fresh snow can highlight the basin of the bog, and birds can be found snacking on frozen rose hips and winterberries.

Spending time outside is a great way to jumpstart your New Year’s resolutions! Nature provides health benefits including boosting your immune system, improving sleep, and supporting emotional health—benefits that are especially important during the cold, short days of winter.

Our preserves are pet-friendly, so bring your four-legged friends (and a leash) to come explore with us!

We will meet at 10am EASTERN TIME under the Lydick Bog pavilion, Sunday, January 1st.
