Native Garden Clean-Up
May 17 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
Our Native Gardens are bursting forth with life as spring returns! It’s time to remove weeds and last year’s stalks and to transplant the wildflowers that are crowding the sidewalk.
Join us outside the Meadowbrook Conservation Center as we work to clean up the Native Garden at the front of the preserve.
Bring your favorite garden gloves if you have them. We will provide all the necessary equipment and gear, as well as granola bars and water, although we encourage you to bring your own reusable water bottle.
Please dress appropriately for the weather and come prepared with protective footwear, long pants, long sleeves, hat, and sunscreen. There may be poison ivy, mosquitoes and ticks; we will have bug spray and TecNu on hand for your protection.
You are welcome to stay for as little or as long as you’d like. For everyone’s continued safety, remember to wear a mask and practice social distancing.
So that we can best plan for the event, please RSVP by calling the office at 219-242-8558 or emailing Christine at firstname.lastname@example.org. For information about last minute cancellations, please check Facebook.
