It’s fall, which means it’s time for Mushrooms @ Meadowbrook!

Equipped with our trusty blacklights, we’ll venture into a forest teeming with life where these mystical organisms silently thrive. As the daylight fades, we’ll unleash the power of our blacklights, revealing an enchanting glow that illuminates the hidden world of mushrooms. Led by local enthusiast and park technician Joey Hinds, we’ll learn about the different types of mushrooms and their vital role in the ecosystem.

Prepare to be amazed as we explore the forest, guided only by the mystical glow emitted by mushrooms under the UV light.

As we tune our senses to wonders that lie beneath the forest floor, we will learn about the hidden world beneath the soil and where it is these mysterious organisms live.

So, grab your flashlight, put on your adventure hats, and join us on this unforgettable journey into the dark, illuminating the wonders of mushrooms hidden from the naked eye. It’s an educational hike like no other, filled with awe and inspiration, empowering children to embrace the beauty of nature and kindle a lifelong love for exploration and learning.
