Equipped with our trusty blacklights, we’ll venture into a forest teeming with life where these mystical organisms silently thrive. As the daylight fades, we’ll unleash the power of our blacklights, revealing an enchanting glow that illuminates the hidden world of mushrooms. Led by local enthusiast and park technician Joey Hinds, we’ll learn about the different types of mushrooms and their vital role in the ecosystem.

Prepare to be amazed as we explore the forest, guided only by the mystical glow emitted by mushrooms under the UV light.

As we tune our senses to wonders that lie beneath the forest floor, we will learn about the hidden world beneath the soil and where it is these mysterious organisms live.

What to Bring: Long pants and sturdy shoes are recommended. We encourage you to bring your own water bottle as there is no potable water at this location. If you have a portable blacklight, flashlight, or headlamp, please bring this, as our supplies will be limited.
