Join us on the first and third Monday of every month as we work together on a variety of outdoor projects at Meadowbrook Nature Preserve! Volunteers are a crucial part of the Shirley Heinze ecosystem, helping us to steward, garden, prune, and build solutions that beautify the preserve for all to enjoy. Meadowbrook Mondays are headed by Shirley Heinze’s Volunteer Coordinator, Abigail Ramirez.
Interested? Drop on by! Meet Abigail, other eco-conscious volunteers, and spend time in the beautiful outdoors all while helping us make lasting improvements for everyone to enjoy.
Bring your favorite garden gloves if you have them. We will provide all the necessary equipment and gear, as well as granola bars and water, although we encourage you to bring your own reusable water bottle (we have a water fill-up station for you to use).
Please dress appropriately for the weather and come prepared with protective footwear, long pants, long sleeves, hat, and sunscreen: we’ll be working outside! There may be poison ivy, mosquitoes and ticks; we will have bug spray and TecNu on hand for your protection.
