Meadowbrook Monday

Our native seed collection efforts are really kicking into high gear, and we now have a backlog of seeds to prep for fall, winter, and spring sowing. Our first order of business will be to finish the seed heads that we collected from the Great Marsh. We’ll be sowing these particular seeds at our Green Friday event later this month, so it’s imperative that we get them ready now. We’ve got plenty to do, and we need your help!

Seed cleaning is a fun way to get an intimate look at the quiet but fascinating life cycle of our native plants while directly supporting our stewardship staff, and an excellent chance to get to know your fellow volunteers better.

Since we’ll be working inside, no winter clothing is needed (other than what you’ll arrive in). We’ll provide any necessary tools or gear. As always, we encourage you to bring your own reusable water bottle!
