Meadowbrook Monday

We’re looking for more Woody Warriors to keep the momentum going!
Autumn invasive management work on Meadowbrook’s ADA Accessible Trail has begun. Invasive species removal is a great way to get an intimate look at the preserve while helping to ensure that native plants and wildlife can continue to thrive here. Volunteers did an outstanding job last year, canvassing the entire area around the trail, which was designed with the provisions of the Americans with Disabilities Act in mind. We’re working toward covering that area again, cutting the stems and vines that grew this season and hitting those we may have missed last year.

Be prepared to work outside and dress appropriately for the weather. Conditions on the workday may be wet and will likely be chilly.  Volunteer workdays are held in all types of weather, although if conditions become hazardous during or leading into the workday, we may be forced to cancel abruptly. Your safety is our first concern! We will provide all the necessary equipment, gear, light snacks, and water. We encourage you to bring your own reusable water bottle!
