Meadowbrook Monday

A few years ago, we dug a pair of bioswales at Meadowbrook as part of an improvements project. The shallow depressions, which support a wide variety of native plant life, help absorb and redirect storm water. Recently, saplings have begun to take root and flourish in the swales, threatening to change the habitat that exists there now and eventually effect that water retention. On September 23rd, you can help us remove these saplings and small trees, allowing the native plant population to continue to thrive.

Be prepared to work outside and dress appropriately for the weather. Conditions on the workday may be wet, warm, or chilly. Volunteer workdays are held in all types of weather, although if conditions become hazardous during or leading into the workday, we may be forced to cancel abruptly. Your safety is our first concern! We will provide all the necessary equipment, gear, and water. We encourage you to bring your own reusable water bottle!
