Meadowbrook Monday
August 7 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm CDT
Free
Come show our native garden some love!
The native plants growing out in front of the conservation center at Meadowbrook are an inspiring and hardy testament to our region’s original botanical diversity. They also represent an essential stop on the daily journeys of our local pollinators. It takes work and dedication, though, to keep invasives away and the weeds at bay. You can help us tidy up the garden, remove some non-native plants, and spend some time on a Monday morning with other plant-lovers and naturalists-by-nature.

Be prepared to work outside and dress appropriately for the weather. We will provide all the necessary equipment, gear, light snacks, and water. We encourage you to bring your own reusable water bottle!
So that we can best plan for Meadowbrook Monday, please RSVP through the website form below. Question? Call the office at 219-242-8558 or email volunteer@heinzetrust.org.
Please fill out the online Volunteer Application prior to attending. We will also have hard copies for you at this volunteer event. Stop by to lend a hand and chat with our staff about other opportunities that can flex your skills and fulfill your interests!
