Lydick Bog Hike

Experience mind bog-gling fall colors at Lydick Bog Nature Preserve! You’ll be in awe of autumn as we walk through the preserve’s woodlands and wetlands in observation of the changing seasons. In addition to the red and orange hues of the forest, you’ll get the chance to see the yellowing of the tamarack trees, one of the few evergreen trees that lose their needles each year.
Visitors will have the option of walking the accessible trail to the bog boardwalk, approximately 0.2-miles one-way, with the opportunity to walk the entire 1.6-mile loop.
Please wear sturdy shoes and pack your own water and snacks (potable water is not available at the preserve). The preserve features outdoor restroom facilities, accessible parking, and a covered pavilion.
