Linwood House Plug Planting @ Indiana Landmarks

Do you have an interest in mid-century architecture, historical preservation, or landscaping? Then this is the project for you!

Indiana Landmarks, a statewide non-profit organization dedicated to preserving meaningful places, has moved their Northwest Field Office to the historic Linwood House on Valparaiso University’s campus. As part of the revitalization of this beautiful historic structure, we have partnered with Indiana Landmarks and Spaulding Restoration to incorporate native plant gardens on the grounds that will promote ecosystem restoration and support pollinator populations.

We will primarily be assisting Spaulding Restoration in planting native plugs in the newly renovated front garden zone. This event will be outside, and the work will require bending, stooping, light lifting and carrying, and hand tool use like trowels or spades. We will provide all the necessary supplies, lunch, and water. We encourage you to bring your own reusable water bottle!
