Groundhog Day Hike @ Meadowbrook

Did you know that Groundhog Day is an astronomy holiday?  February 2^nd falls approximately halfway between the December solstice and the March equinox.  Come out to Meadowbrook for a Groundhog Day hike – when we can talk about Groundhog Day history and traditions, learn about the natural history of groundhogs, and observe what there is to see at Meadowbrook at this turning point of the seasons.

Depending on weather conditions, we might see animal tracks in the snow, see and/or hear birds, or look for signs of life in the woods and prairie.
