Frog in a Bog: A Lydick Bog Program
April 27 @ 7:00 pm - 8:45 pm EDT
FreeLooking for a ribbet-ing experience out in nature? Join us for “Frog in a Bog,” led by local herpetology expert Garry Harrington. You’ll be immersed in a soundscape of frog (and toad) calls while learning the difference between Spring Peepers and Wood Frogs. (You can also check out IN DNR’s website to get familiar with various frog calls.) Hop to it and sign up to reserve your spot!
Garry Harrington is the Director at the Rum Village Nature Center in South Bend and has extensive experience as an interpretive naturalist. Joining Garry will be one of our current student interns for our frog monitoring program, who will be sharing their insights from their student experience at Notre Dame.
Meet at Lydick Bog Nature Preserve at 7:00 pm EASTERN TIME. Please wear appropriate hiking gear and prepare for all weather conditions. Bringing your own water and a headlamp, particularly one with red light, is highly recommended. If you have any questions about this event, please contact info@heinzetrust.org.
