Frog in a Bog: A Lydick Bog Program
April 27, 2022 @ 7:30 pm - 8:30 pm EDTFree
Due to inclement weather, we have rescheduled this event to April 27, 2022 at 6:30pm CT/7:30pm ET.
Looking for a ribbet-ing experience out in nature? Join us for “Frog in a Bog,” led by local herpetology expert Garry Harrington as well as our frog monitoring interns. You’ll be immersed in a soundscape of frog (and toad) calls while learning the difference between Spring Peepers and Wood Frogs. (You can also check out IN DNR’s website to get familiar with various frog calls.) Hop to it and sign up to reserve your spot!
Garry Harrington is the Director at the Rum Village Nature Center in South Bend and has extensive experience as an interpretive naturalist.
Meet at Lydick Bog Nature Preserve at 7:30 EASTERN TIME. Please wear appropriate hiking gear and prepare for all weather conditions. Bringing your own water and a headlamp, particularly one with red light, is highly recommended. If you have any questions about this event, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
Due to the staff and volunteer resources required for each event, please RSVP only if you are fairly certain you will attend. If you are no longer able to attend, please contact our office. Thank you!
