Earth Week – Garlic Mustard Removal
April 19, 2021 - April 25, 2021
Spending even 15 minutes to pull garlic during your visit makes a big impact! This project requires basic plant identification skills to correctly identify invasive garlic mustard. You should also have good directional skills as you will be working off-trail.
Starting April 19th, we will provide garbage bags and neoprene gloves in a tote at the trailhead of the preserve, and you can visit whenever is best for your schedule.
Take your garlic mustard haul home to make pesto (and enjoy the one thing you can “forage” on a nature preserve), or leave it in the designated area and our staff will pick it up to dispose of properly.
These sites have the most need for garlic mustard control. Please sign up to help and we’ll provide you with more detailed information about where this invasive plant should be removed first.
