If you’re up for a dog-gone good time, then stop by Lydick Bog Nature Preserve for our Dogs Days of Summer hike! Bring your four-legged friend (on a leash, of course) and join Shirley Heinze Land Trust staff for a hike through the woods. Learn about the history of the bog and its surrounding wetlands. Take a moment to “paws” and discover the beauty of the summer wildflowers.
You’ll also learn how to keep your best friend safe when enjoying the outdoors, from tick prevention to staying cool in the summer.
Plus, you’ll get an instant film photo of you and your dog to take home!
Please come prepared with the essentials to make your dog comfortable and happy on the trail, including a leash and dog waste bags. Water and dog treats will be available. The trail at Lydick Bog varies from even boardwalks to moderate trails with slight inclines and bare roots. Public restrooms will be available.
