Join us for a live webinar led by our guest speaker, Dr. Larry Cadwell, to learn about how our local environment is being affected by climate change.

Dr. Larry Cadwell holds an undergraduate degree from Purdue University and graduate degrees from Washington State and Colorado State Universities. He is an Ecologist by training and taught ecology at Illinois State University prior to becoming a research scientist at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, a U.S. Department of Energy facility located in Washington State. He is now retired and lives on the small farm in northern LaPorte County where he grew up.

Although we are familiar with the catastrophic effects of the global climate crisis in seemingly remote locations as seen on the national news, it may seem to some that we are immune from the global warming events ravaging lives and livelihoods elsewhere. Larry will introduce a discussion of the myriad of environmental changes occurring here in our own back yards by first describing the scientific basis for perhaps the single most significant climate influence that is driving those changes.
