Biodiversity in the Bog

Lydick Bog Nature Preserve is one of our most biodiverse properties. Come see the preserve teeming with all kinds of plant and wildlife with Volunteer Naturalist Jan Hunter!

The end of May brings late-spring wildflowers, migrating birds, the return of the tamarack needles, and the buzzing of dragon- and damselflies.
What to Bring: Long pants and sturdy shoes are recommended. We encourage you to bring your own water bottle as there is no potable water at this location.
Length: About 1.7 miles. The trail to the bog (0.3 miles) is compacted gravel and boardwalk; the upland trail (1.4 miles) has some small inclines along dirt paths.
Weather Policy: Rain or shine. Event will be cancelled in inclement weather. No rain date.
Please note that this will take place at 11am Eastern Time.
