Interested in finding a volunteer opportunity that suites your needs or hour requirements? Tune in if you are a new volunteer or looking to be refreshed on the opportunities we offer here at Shirley Heinze. Join us on January 25 from 4pm-5pm!
Meet staff who will introduce you to Shirley Heinze Land Trust and share ways that you can be a part of our mission to preserve and protect natural lands and waters in Northwestern Indiana. We will share some fun, safe, and impactful ways you can volunteer! The presentation will be an hour, leaving ample time for questions and discussion.
Opportunities towards preservation, restoration, and connecting communities to nature include:
- Guided Hike Naturalist Program
- Water Quality Program
- Adopt-A-Trail Monitoring Program
- Social Media Influencer
- Nature Writing-Blog Posts
- Invasive Removal
- Preserve Maintenance
- Native Garden Maintenance
- Photography/Videography
These are only a few ways that you can utilize your talents and skills towards helping protect and promote your favorite natural area.
