Adopt-A-Trail & Preserve Steward Training
February 15 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm CST
Free

Program Details:
Anyone can become an Adopt-A-Trail OR Preserve Steward. If you already enjoy walking any Shirley Heinze’s trail, help play an important role in providing feedback! This program requires you to visit a preserve of your choosing at least once a month to serve as the eyes and ears at a chosen conservation area in Northwest Indiana. For example, stewardship tasks include communicating trail conditions, taking photos of flowering plants/animal footprints, picking up liter and removing brush from trail. In addition to taking on small projects that assist our Stewardship Team. Our team will be hosting a training session on February 15th from 4pm-5pm. Furthermore, all current AAT and PS volunteers are encouraged to join the webinar to be introduced, to renew their term commitment, and to learn about new opportunities and projects. Becoming an Adopt-A-Trail Steward is a 6-month commitment whereas, becoming a Preserve Steward is a 1 year commitment.
