Community Hike @ Meadowbrook
February 15 @ 2:30 pm - 4:00 pm
FreeJoin us for a hike to learn about the history of Shirley Heinze Land Trust, the Valparaiso Moraine, and the restoration efforts of our stewardship crew. We will meet under the pavilion at Meadowbrook Nature Preserve, just north of the parking lot. Our Programs Coordinator, Mari Patis, will lead you through the many trails that meander through the preserve. This hike is kid- and pet-friendly!
Immediately following this hike, be sure to check out our Adopt-a-Trail and Preserve Steward Training, where you’ll learn how to become one of the many volunteers needed to help maintain our beautiful nature preserves!
Please be sure to dress for the weather, as well as wear sturdy hiking shoes or boots. The trails at Meadowbrook vary from flat gravel and dirt trails to a moderate level of stairs and inclines.
Please RSVP to help us prepare the best hiking experience for everyone.
