Bayless Dune
Gary

Tucked within urban neighborhoods in the Miller Beach section of Gary, you’ll find pockets of high dunes, blowouts, dry oak forest, wetlands, and wooded ravines. The waters of Lake Michigan can be seen from high vantage points, and many rare plants cling to survival on these sandy acres.

A short trail through Bayless Dune includes flat, wooded areas and one steep climb. You will have a short walk east along Indian Boundary Road to return to the trail head.
